DONALD SCHULTZ PROFESSOR OF TURBOMACHINERY

Applications are invited for the above post, to which appointment will be made as soon as possible. The Professorship, which provides leadership in research and teaching in this strategically important area, will be held in the Department of Engineering Science, in association with a non-stipendiary professorial fellowship at St Catherine's College.

The successful candidate will have an outstanding research record of internationally recognized stature in turbomachinery. He or she will be interested in developing and leading advanced experimental programmes, addressing topics in fluid flow, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and similar aspects, with applications in gas turbine power generation or propulsion systems. The Professor will be appointed Director of the Rolls-Royce Technology Centre in Aerodynamics and Heat Transfer.
