Statute approved: Notice

The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk at the Privy Council Office that Her Majesty the Queen, at a Council held on 10 June 2009, was pleased to approve amendments of Statutes E, F, and J which were submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 5 of 5 November 2008 and Grace 7 of 3 December 2008.

The amendments to Statute E approved by Grace 5 of 5 November 2008 add a new chapter to that Statute governing the Medieval Scandinavian History Fund, which supports a University Lectureship in Medieval Scandinavian History in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic; a minor amendment to the provisions of Chapter E, VI (The Hulsean Fund) was also made.

Following the approval of the revised Statute F, III (Financial powers and investment) and consequential amendments to Statutes E, I, 7(iv) (General provisions) and J, 3, 5, and 11 (The University Press) authorized by Grace 7 of 3 December 2008, the amendments to the regulations governing financial matters approved by Grace 4 of 20 May 2009 come into effect.
