Certificate of Postgraduate Study in Natural Science (Materials Science and Metallurgy)

With effect from 1 October 2009

The regulations for the Certificate of Postgraduate Study in Natural Science (Materials Science and Metallurgy) have been amended (i) by amending the current Regulation 3 to remove reference to passages for translation and (ii) by inserting a new Regulation 4 to specify a word-limit for the dissertation. The regulations have been amended as follows:

Regulation 3.

By deleting in lines 3-4 the words 'and including passages of scientific literature in a foreign language approved by the Degree Committee for translation into English. A dictionary will be allowed.'

Regulation 4.

By inserting the new regulation so as to read:

4. The dissertation shall be of not more than 15,000 words in length, inclusive of tables, figure legends, and appendices, but exclusive of bibliography.
