UNIVERSITY LECTURERSHIP IN SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT

The Department for Continuing Education, in association with Kellogg College, is seeking to appoint a University Lecturer in Sustainable Urban Development from 1 October 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of research and publication and will provide academic leadership for a part-time Master's in Sustainable Urban Development, aimed at early-career professionals, to be launched in 2010.

Applications are welcome from those with experience and research interests in any area of sustainable urban development, though preference may be given to candidates with strong backgrounds in urbanism, placemaking, and concepts of the city. In addition to providing programme leadership, the appointee will be expected to undertake research and to develop further teaching opportunities.

The course is to be provided in association with The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment. The Lecturership is associated with a Fellowship at Kellogg College.

The appointment will be on salary scale 36S (£42,351 to £56,917 a year).
