Election

Dr Sharon Jayne Peacock, B.M., Southampton, M.Sc., London, Ph.D., Open, Head of Microbiology, Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit, Mahidol University, Bangkok, elected Professor of Clinical Microbiology with effect from 1 October 2009.

Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute. Professor Daniel St Johnston, appointed from 1 May 2009 to 30 April 2014.

Deputy Head of Department

Biochemistry. Professor Christopher Howe, appointed from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2012.

Technical Officer

Veterinary Medicine. Mr Christopher John Brown, appointed from 3 September 2007 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of nine months.

Computer Laboratory. Professor Andrew Hopper, reappointed from 1 October 2009 to 30 September 2014.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Clinical Medicine. Dr Kenneth Kian Leong Ong, JN, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 April 2009 for a further two years.

Land Economy. Dr Michael Robert Carroll has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2008 for one year.
