The following lectures, seminars, etc. will be open to members of the University and others who are interested.

Continuing Education. Research Seminar Series. Dr John Selby, Director (Education and Participation), HEFCE, will give a seminar entitled Widening participation: towards a new settlement, at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 June, at Wolfson College, Barton Road. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Professor Jon Kleinberg, of Cornell University, will give the Ninety-Third Kuwait Foundation Lecture, entitled The flow of information in complex networks, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 11 June, in the Wolfson Room, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wilberforce Road (entrance on Clarkson Road before the Isaac Newton Institute).
