PART-TIME LECTORSHIP IN MODERN HEBREW

Applications are invited for the post of part-time Lector in Modern Hebrew. The primary responsibility of the Lector will be to teach Modern Hebrew to graduate students with varying levels of prior knowledge of the language (i.e. at Elementary (beginner), Intermediate, and/or Advanced levels). Experience in teaching Modern Hebrew at university level is highly desirable. The Lector will be expected to reside in Oxford or within comfortable commuting distance. Teaching undertaken by the Lector is normally conducted at Yarnton Manor near Oxford.

The appointment is to begin on 1 October 2009. The salary offered is £24,403 a year, pro rata, to average teaching hours worked in University Full Term from a minimum of 4.5 hours a week to a maximum of 16.5 hours a week. The starting point on the salary scale will be dependent on experience.
