Wolfson College

SENIOR TUTOR

Wolfson College wishes to appoint a new Senior Tutor to start in September 2009.

Wolfson College is a vibrant community consisting of 550 full-time graduate students, 200 part-time graduate students, 100 mature undergraduates, and 150 Fellows including 35 Research Fellows. The College is set in fine gardens and has accommodation for 450 residents.

The Senior Tutor is a key member of the senior management team and is not only responsible for the education and welfare of the student body, but also plays a leading role in setting the College's strategy, in particular working closely with the President, Bursar, and Development Director. The Senior Tutor leads a team of tutors and manages the staff in the tutorial office and the library, so a degree of management experience is required.

The role can be structured as full-time (100%) or part-time (minimum 50%), and the College welcomes applications both from candidates who would like to combine this role with another role and from those candidates who would carry out the role full-time. The salary will be at a point in the University's Readership scale.

Full details of the role, the application procedure, and the terms and conditions, are available from the Wolfson College website (http://www.wolfson.cam.ac.uk/jobs/). The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday, 3 June, and interviews will take place on Monday, 15 June.
