An exhibition, entitled Material Intelligence, featuring the work of eight contemporary artists, will open on 16 May 2009 and will run until 12 July 2009. The exhibition showcases work by Claire Barclay, Karla Black, Martin Boyce, Matt Calderwood, Tony Feher, Wade Guyton, Ian Kiaer, and Shirley Tse, and will comprise mostly sculpture and installation. Material Intelligence is part of a programme of exhibitions at Kettle's Yard that reflect upon different aspects of modern art history and the developing concerns of contemporary art practice, and will be supported by a programme of educational activities for all ages.
