TEACHING FELLOWSHIP IN LAW

New Hall invites applications for a full-time College Lectureship and Official Fellowship in Law. The person appointed will be expected to supervise undergraduates for up to twelve hours a week for the twenty teaching weeks of the year, to act as Director of Studies in Law, to pursue an independent programme of research, and to contribute to the communal life and running of the College.

The salary will depend on individual circumstances. Fellows also receive various other benefits including sabbatical leave entitlement. The person appointed will have membership of the Faculty of Law.

The post is open to men and women; appointment will be for a single fixed term of up to five years, from 1 September 2009.

TEACHING FELLOWSHIP IN CHEMISTRY

New Hall intends to appoint to a College Lectureship and Official Fellowship someone holding a research or teaching appointment in the Department of Chemistry or another closely related University laboratory, in any branch of the subject other than Organic Chemistry. The person appointed will be expected to supervise undergraduates for three or four hours a week for the twenty teaching weeks of the year, to help arrange supervisions in chemistry, and to contribute to the academic life and running of the College.

Fellows receive a salary substantially above the standard rate for the supervision, and various other benefits including sabbatical leave entitlement. The post will suit those with an interest in advancing their subject through undergraduate teaching as well as research.

The post is open to men and women; appointment will be for up to three years in the first instance, from 1 September 2009, with the possibility of reappointment.
