CULHAM JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN MATERIALS FOR FUSION POWER REACTORS

St Edmund Hall welcomes applications for a Junior Research Fellowship in Materials for Fusion Power Reactors. The successful candidate will be required to work as an independent experimental researcher in conjunction with experimental researchers and modellers in the Department of Materials (in particular with Professor S. G. Roberts) and with researchers at UKAEA Culham Science Centre. The person appointed will be asked to undertake up to four hours a week of tutorial teaching at St Edmund Hall.

The post is available from 1 October 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter. The period of the Fellowship is three years, and is not renewable.

The stipend will be £20,000 a year (in the first year), plus a pensionable housing allowance or free College accommodation, lunching and dining rights free of charge, and membership of the Senior Common Room. Additional College allowances are available.

Referees should be asked to email the Principal's PA so that the references (sent as PDF attachments) are received by the same date.
