Brasenose College

STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN ENGLISH

Brasenose College wishes to appoint a twelve-hour Stipendiary Lecturer in English Language and Literature from 1 October 2009 for two terms, with a possible extension for a third term. The person appointed will be expected to teach the Shakespeare paper and the period papers covering 1509-1642, 1642-1740 (and possibly 1740-1832) for the Honour Schools of English and associated Joint Honour Schools; to participate in admissions; and to assist in the running of English in collaboration with the other Tutors in English.

The salary scale will be in the range of £24,152 to £27,183 a year, according to qualifications and experience.
