BT ANNUAL LECTURE

The BT Annual Lecture, entitled Innovation at the speed of life, will be given by Mr Matt Bross, Chief Technology Officer, BT Group, at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, 30 April, in the Nihon Room, Pembroke College. Refreshments will be served from 5 p.m.

The synopsis of the lecture is as follows:

Companies looking to thrive in the unpredictable economic climate of the twenty-first century need to harness a global open innovation ecosystem to deliver sustainable competitive advantage. Matt Bross will discuss the importance of embedding an innovation culture within an organization and explain how BT uses a powerful ecosystem of partners, universities, start-up companies, consumers, and multi-national corporates to deliver a drumbeat of innovations that enhance the lives of customers. He will share his vision of innovation at the speed of life.

Matt Bross, CEO BT Innovate and BT Group Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for driving and optimizing BT's innovation ecosystem. He sets the BT Group technology strategy and the vision and direction of innovation across BT. In his role at BT, Matt is responsible for BT's research and venturing efforts globally. Matt is the leading force behind BT's multi-billion pound, Twenty-first Century Network transformation, and is leading innovation for BT.
