SCHOOLS LIAISON AND ACCESS OFFICER

Merton College and Trinity College wish to appoint a Schools Liaison and Access Officer who will develop existing school liaison activities, initiate new ones, and promote access, especially from under-represented groups, to both Colleges and to the University of Oxford as a whole. The Officer will be based in both Colleges. Frequent and sometimes extended trips outside Oxford will be required.

Candidates should be graduates, possibly with experience of teaching or advising sixth-form students. They must have a thorough and detailed approach to organization and administration, and must be willing to make presentations to groups (of various sizes) of prospective candidates and advisers.

The post is from May 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be on the University's Grade 5 and will range between £22,765 and £27,813 a year.
