Professor A. Blake, FRS, FREng, of the Microsoft Laboratory, will deliver a lecture entitled Machines that see, at 5.30 p.m. on Monday, 9 March 2009, in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road. All who are interested are invited.

Dr Walter Federle, of the Department of Zoology, delivered a lecture entitled The biomechanics of Spiderman: how insects walk on the ceiling. A vote of thanks was moved by Dr W. A. Foster.
