UNIVERSITY LECTURERSHIP IN BYZANTINE HISTORY

The University proposes to appoint a (tenurable) University Lecturer in Byzantine History, to take up post in the Faculty of History, based in the Humanities Division, from 1 October 2009. The post will be held in conjunction with a Fellowship at Corpus Christi College, and the successful candidate will be elected to an Official Fellowship of the College.

Candidates should have a research specialism in any period of Byzantine history (c. 600 to c. 1500), and be able to teach broad themes within that period. The successful candidate will be required to be an outstanding researcher and teacher.
