University of Oxford

HEAD OF GRADUATE ADMISSIONS

The University of Oxford is world famous for its academic excellence - and the University has more than 7,300 full-time graduates, representing around 40% of its full-time student population. Almost two-thirds are from outside the UK, joining the University from over 140 countries, so highly effective admissions procedures are central to its continuing success in attracting the world's best graduates.

The post-holder will take things to the next level, as he or she refines the University's practices and processes and integrates offers with improved funding packages, whilst deputizing for the Director of Graduate Admissions and Funding. Providing inspiring leadership to a small team, the post-holder will formulate targeted recruitment strategies, investigate the possibilities of customer relationship management systems, exploit the full potential of the web, and help generate a long-term strategic vision - so applicants can expect enormous challenge and professional satisfaction. The post will be based in the Graduate Admissions and Funding Office, and the salary will be at Grade 9 (£42,351 to £49,096 - with a discretionary range to £53,650).

Well-qualified at degree level, applicants will bring a sound track record in higher education, including in strategic planning and process review. Needless to say, potential applicants should be adept at meeting tight deadlines, skilled in team and data management, and well versed in the complexities of large, diverse organizations - and will be capable of influencing at every level to deliver the University's initiatives successfully.
