ENVIRONMENT ON THE EDGE LECTURE SERIES

The next Environment on the Edge lecture, entitled Darwin in his time - and in ours, will be given by Professor Lord May, of the University of Oxford, on Thursday, 12 February 2009, at 5.15 p.m., in the Buckingham House Lecture Theatre, New Hall.

EVOLUTION ON FILM

A Darwin tribute film festival, entitled Evolution on film, will take place on 13 and 14 February 2009, in the Buckingham House Lecture Theatre, New Hall.

On Friday, 13 February, at 8.15 p.m., director Randy Olson will introduce his 2006 film, Flock of Dodos.

On Saturday, 14 February, at 3 p.m., there will be a panel discussion on Evolution and intelligent design, chaired by Professor Michael Akam, FRS.

On Saturday, 14 February, at 8 p.m., Stanley Kramer's 1960 film, Inherit the Wind, will be shown.
