GOMES LECTURE

The Master and Fellows of Emmanuel College give notice that the Gomes Lecture will be held at the College at 5.30 p.m. on Friday, 13 February 2009, in the theatre of the Queen's Building. The Reverend Professor Peter Gomes will lecture on Cambridge in my experience: a transatlantic view.

SEMINARS IN THE HISTORY OF CARTOGRAPHY

Dr Catherine Delano Smith, of the Institute of Historical Research, University of London, will give a seminar entitled Diagram to portrait and back again: styling the map to fit the reader, at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 17 February 2009, in the Harrods Room at Emmanuel College. All are welcome. Refreshments will be available after the seminar.
