COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ECONOMICS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates (holding a Ph.D. Degree or in the final stages of a Ph.D. Degree) for a College Lectureship in Economics tenable for three years in the first instance, to begin from a date no later than 1 October 2009. Applications are encouraged from candidates that specialize in any field of economics but candidates must be able to teach either microeconomics or macroeconomics in the Cambridge Economics undergraduate course.

The post-holder will be required to undertake twelve hours of small group College teaching a week during Terms (in total 240 hours a year), and will be expected to assume a role as one of the College Directors of Studies in Economics, for which additional payment is made. College Lecturers are normally elected to a College Official Fellowship, which carries a range of other benefits and responsibilities. The post-holder will be required to undertake and publish research in Economics of the standard associated with successful consideration under the recent Research Assessment Exercise. Remuneration will be in the range of £32,458 to £46,278 a year, with the initial stipend set in the range of £32,458 to £36,532, depending on qualifications and experience.
