Jesus College

SENIOR TUTOR AND OFFICIAL FELLOW

Jesus College welcomes applications for the post of Senior Tutor and Official Fellow, which is available from 1 April 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position offers an exciting and challenging professional opportunity as the College develops its role within a rapidly changing collegiate University. The Senior Tutor will be a Fellow and member of the College's Governing Body. He or she will be accountable to the Governing Body for overseeing the entire range of the College's academic activities, including the development of policy, arrangements for admitting and teaching undergraduates and graduates, and relations with the University and external bodies. He or she will also undertake general management duties for the College as required by the Governing Body, and participate in the College's development activities. The position involves no teaching or research duties, but candidates should be strongly sympathetic to academic values and concerns, and have experience of administration or management in an educational context.

The salary will be on a scale currently from £51,816 to £66,383 a year. Jesus College operates an equity sharing scheme, to assist Fellows in purchasing their house. Additional allowances are available.
