Dr Kirsty McDougall, of the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, will give a lecture entitled We know who you are, from the way you sound - computer voice-recognition systems and what they can do, at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, 19 January 2009, in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre, Churchill College. Coffee and biscuits will be served from 7 p.m. in the foyer outside the theatre. All are welcome. CSAR members are admitted free (together with their guests, depending upon their type of membership). Non-members are asked to pay a nominal entry fee of £3.00.
