University Lecturers in the Faculty of English (two posts)

The Faculty wishes to appoint to two University Lectureships from 1 October 2009: one in English Literature of the period 1640-1730, and one in English Literature of the Victorian period. The salary for both posts will be in the range £36,532 to £46,278 a year.

Those appointed will be expected to provide at least 40 hours of University teaching a year (lectures and classes) and to engage in small-group teaching (supervisions) as appropriate. They will also be expected to examine in either Part I or Part II of the Tripos each year, to undertake research, and to contribute to the Faculty's research profile. Those appointed may be asked to undertake the supervision of postgraduate students, and to participate in teaching-related administrative tasks.
