St John's College

NON-STIPENDIARY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES

The College intends to elect up to three non-stipendiary Research Fellows in the Social Sciences. The Fellow-ships are intended to offer experienced academics from abroad or from the United Kingdom an opportunity to pursue their own study or research as a member of the College. The Fellowships may be particularly suited to academics who wish to pursue research in Oxford during a period of sabbatical leave from their own institution, or as academic visitors to Social Science Departments within the University of Oxford. There are no preferences as to subject area within the Social Sciences and there is no obligation to teach for the College. The Research Fellowships will be tenable for periods of up to one year and are available from 1 October 2009. Fellows will be entitled to full dining rights and membership of the Senior Common Room. There is no entitlement to accommodation in College.

Applications (original and five copies), which should include a curriculum vitae, and the names and addresses (including email addresses) of three referees, should be made to the Academic Administrator, St John's College, Oxford, OX1 3JP, by 9 January 2009. Please note that emailed and faxed applications will not be considered.

The College operates an equal opportunities policy.
