STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN FRENCH

Merton College proposes to appoint a stipendiary Lecturer in French to teach up to six hours a week in Full Term during Hilary Term 2009. The Lecturer will be paid a stipend of £12,076 pro rata, with entitlement to join USS and membership of Common Room, with the right to take some meals free of charge.

The successful candidate should have completed (or be about to complete) her/his doctoral studies in a relevant field in French, will be able to teach effectively over a range of Prelims and FHS papers, and to contribute to French language teaching to under- graduates at all levels. In addition to her/his teaching duties, the successful candidate will be expected to lend pastoral support to students.
