The Faculty Board of Music give notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2008-09, the form of the examination for the following paper for Part IA of the Music Tripos will be changed as follows:
The duration of this paper has been reduced from 48 to 24 hours. The paper will be made available between 10 a.m. and noon on the fourth Monday of Full Easter Term, and is to be returned by noon on the following day. In the case of the string quartet question in this paper, candidates will be asked to continue a given opening for up to 40 bars (which is, potentially, an increase on the requirement in previous years).
