Examination in Management Science for the degree of Master of Philosophy, 2008-09: Notice
The Degree Committee for the Faculty of Business and Management give notice that in the academical year 2008-09 the subjects for examination in Management Science for the M.Phil. Degree will be as listed below. The method of examination is shown for each subject.
Group 1 (compulsory subjects)

| (2) MP0-1A | Quantitative research methods - advanced (assessed by four workbooks of research exercises) |
| (3) M.Phil. Statistical Science: Introduction to probability (assessed by two-hour written examination) |
| (4) MAT3 | Mathematics of operational research (assessed by three-hour written examination) |
Group 2 (optional papers)
| TPE6 | Strategic valuation (assessed by project consisting of written report and associated spreadsheet model) |
| Eng PIIB 4F3 | Nonlinear and predictive control (assessed by 1.5-hour written examination) |
