Graces submitted to the Regent House on 12 November 2008

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 21 November 2008.

1. That the regulations for endowed University Lectureships be amended, with effect from 1 January 2009, as follows:

Regulation 1.

By replacing in the entry for the David and Elaine Potter Fund for Human Rights and Governance the reference to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences by reference to the Department of Politics and International Studies.1

2. That the regulation for the Aeronautical Research Fund be amended by replacing the words 'The income' in line 1 by the words 'The capital and the income'.2

3. That, with effect from 1 January 2009, Regulation 2 for Loan Fund II be amended by replacing the figure of £10,000 by the figure of £100,000.3
