University Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Finance at Judge Business School (three posts)

Due to the growth of the School, Judge Business School is looking to recruit exceptional candidates in the following subject areas: Business Finance and Financial Reporting.

Evidence of outstanding research potential is essential. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. Degree (or expect soon to receive one) in a relevant subject.

Ability to teach core courses at post-experience levels, as well as some undergraduate, pre-experience, or elective teaching, is essential.

Appointments will be from 1 September 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be in the range of £49,096 to £52,086 if appointed as a University Senior Lecturer, and in the range of £36,532 to £46,278 if appointed as a University Lecturer.

University Lecturer in Hebrew, Old Testament, and Second Temple Studies in the Faculty of Divinity

Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in Hebrew, Old Testament, and Second Temple Studies in the Faculty of Divinity. The salary will be in the range of £36,532 to £46,278 a year.

The successful candidate should have expertise in the field of Hebrew, Old Testament, and Second Temple Studies, and be able to deliver high quality lectures. He/she will be expected to produce high quality research and contribute to the teaching of Hebrew, Old Testament, and Second Temple Studies at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates should be able to take up the post on 1 October 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment will be subject to five years' probation.

Mellon Collaborative Teaching Fellowships at CRASSH

The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CRASSH) is now soliciting proposals for collaborative courses, to be co-taught by two people from different disciplinary areas, Faculties or Schools, at CRASSH in Michaelmas Term 2009 or Lent Term 2010. Proposals should present their rationale in relation to interdisciplinarity and/or disciplinary innovation. These courses should not normally be ones that could be offered within a single Faculty or existing curricular structure. Proposals will be selected by a committee including the two Heads of Schools.
