Under the provisions of new Statute A, IV, 9(b) approved by Her Majesty in Council on 9 July 2008 (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 974), the Council at its meeting on 22 September 2008 agreed to appoint Lord Simon, CAI, member of the Council in class (e), to serve as Deputy Chairman to 31 December 2008.
