ESMÉE FAIRBAIRN JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN MATHEMATICS

Applications are invited for the Esmée Fairbairn Junior Research Fellowship for three years from 1 October 2009. The person appointed will be expected to undertake advanced research in any branch of Mathematics.

Fellowship applicants must, at the time of taking up the post, have completed at least two years of study for an advanced degree. The Fellowship carries a stipend of £18,750 a year (subject to review). In addition, the Fellow will be entitled to a housing allowance (currently £1,660 a year) or to live in College accommodation free of charge if suitable rooms are available, to meals in College, and to entertainment, research, and book allowances.

TODD BIRD JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN MEDICINE OR BIOCHEMISTRY

Applications are invited for the Todd Bird Junior Research Fellowship for three years from 1 October 2009. The person appointed will be expected to undertake advanced research in the field of Medicine or Biochemistry.

Fellowship applicants must, at the time of taking up the post, have completed at least two years of study for an advanced degree. The Fellowship carries a stipend of £18,750 a year (subject to review). In addition, the Fellow will be entitled to a housing allowance (currently £1,660 a year) or to live in College accommodation free of charge if suitable rooms are available, to meals in College, and to entertainment, research, and book allowances.

TODD BIRD NON-STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN CLINICAL MEDICINE

Applications are invited for the Todd Bird Non-Stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship in Clinical Medicine for three years from 1 October 2009. The person appointed will be expected to have obtained MRCP Part I (or equivalent) and be planning or conducting research aiming for an M.D. or D.Phil. The Fellow will be expected to offer ward-based clinical tutorials once a week to New College clinical students in collaboration with Professor Townsend and Dr Peggy Frith and help organize occasional college-based medical meetings (for which there is an honorarium of £500 a year).

The Fellow must have adequate funding to support their work in Clinical Medicine, but will be entitled to a housing allowance (currently £1,660 a year), to meals in College, and to entertainment, research, and book allowances.
