Magdalen College

CHOIRMASTER, ORGANIST, AND TUTORIAL FELLOW IN MUSIC

Magdalen College is seeking to appoint a Choirmaster (Informator Choristarum) who has, or is in the process of building, an international reputation for excellence in Music. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide some tutorial teaching for the College's undergraduates reading Music, and he or she will hold a titular post in the Faculty of Music. The appointment will take effect from 1 April 2009. Pay will be on the scale £40,334 to £54,207 a year (subject to an increase of at least 2.5% from 1 October 2008). There will also be an entitlement to College accommodation or to a housing allowance, together with a research allowance and full meal rights.

Candidates should ask their referees to write directly to the President's Secretary by this deadline without further prompting. Appointment will be subject to enhanced CRB clearance.
