St Catharine's College

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The Governing Body of St Catharine's College invites applications from men and women for election to two stipendiary Research Fellowships, tenable from 1 October 2009 for three years. The Fellowships are open to graduates of any university who (i) are members of the College, or (ii) not being members of the College, are engaged in research in the Sciences.

Fellowships are intended to support those at an early stage in their academic careers, and will normally be awarded to those who have recently completed their Ph.D. research, or are close to completion. Candidates should not have been engaged in full-time postgraduate research for longer than four years, nor have already held a Research Fellowship elsewhere.

Applications for non-stipendiary awards, which will otherwise carry the usual benefits of a Research Fellowship, will be considered from applicants who have already secured externally funded research awards for three years from 1 October 2008. The total number of stipendiary plus non-stipendiary awards will normally be two.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 31 October 2008. Applications should be made via the College website (http://www.caths.cam.ac.uk/home/?m=page&id=51), where further particulars are available. Any enquiries should be addressed to the Master's Secretary, St Catharine's College, Cambridge, CB2 1RL (email masters.secretary@caths.cam.ac.uk).
