COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN MODERN AND MEDIEVAL LANGUAGES (FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

Corpus Christi College seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Modern and Medieval Languages from 1 January 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications are invited from men and women in any field of Italian, German, Hispanic or Latin-American Studies appropriate to the Cambridge course. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a scholar in the early stages of their career for whom a short-term post would prove to be an attractive opportunity to enhance their profile in research and teaching. He or she will be elected to a College Fellowship. The post will require an average of twelve hours of teaching a week in Full Term either for Corpus Christi or, by exchange arrangements, for other Colleges. The appointment will be for five years; the appointee would be on point 45 of the University Spine (currently corresponding to £30,912 in 2007-08, pay award pending).

THE SECOND COOKS' LECTURE

The Worshipful Company of Cooks of London and Corpus Christi College are pleased to announce the Second Cooks' Lecture on Wednesday, 22 October 2008.

The lecture entitled The food allergy epidemic will be given by Dr Pamela Ewan, CBE, Head of the Allergy Department, Addenbrooke's Hospital, at 5 p.m. in the McCrum Lecture Theatre, Bene't Passage. The Responder will be Mr John Williams, CMA, MBE, Executive Chef at the Ritz, London, and Executive Chairman of the Academy of Culinary Arts.
