The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, H.M. The Queen has approved the appointment of Professor Richard John Evans, Ph.D., CAI, B.A., D.Phil., Oxford, Litt.D., East Anglia, FBA, Professor of Modern History, Faculty of History, as the Regius Professor of Modern History from 1 October 2008 in succession to Professor Q. R. D. Skinner.
