A recital by Dr Gerald Gifford focusing on William Byrd's compositions preserved in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book and Lady Nevell's Book, presented on an Italian harpsichord, will take place on 14 November, from 1.15 p.m. to 2 p.m.
'Writing Lives', a talk by Penelope Lively, will take place in the Fitzwilliam Courtyard on 23 October, from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are £8 (£6 concessions) and are available from the ADC theatre (tel. 01223 300085, Tuesday - Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
