The 2009 Fund, amounting to some £250,000, has been established to support University or College affiliated groups or student societies wishing to stage their own 800th anniversary related events.
Applications for grants of typically up to £5,000 are welcome for activities that mark the anniversary and promote or celebrate the academic and cultural pursuits of the University. Projects may involve collaboration with external partners but the application must be made by a University or College affiliated group. The deadline for the final round of the 2009 Fund applications is 22 October 2008. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit draft applications or speak to the 800th anniversary event staff about their ideas prior to the deadline.
