The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has received the following nomination for election to the Council in class (a) (Heads of Colleges) to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the President of Lucy Cavendish College (see Reporter, p. 898), and that it has been certified to her that the candidate has consented to be nominated:
Professor Francis Patrick Kelly, Master of Christ's College, is nominated by the Master of Clare College and seconded by the President of Wolfson College.
No other candidate having been nominated, the Vice-Chancellor declares that Professor Kelly is elected to serve as a member of the Council from 1 August 2008 until 31 December 2010, and that the election previously announced will not now take place.
