COLLEGE REGISTRAR

Applications are invited by Sidney Sussex College for the post of College Registrar.

The College Registrar will be responsible for the administrative and compliance activities of the College. S/he is expected to improve the College's administrative and governance processes. In particular, s/he is expected to manage the process of updating the College governance and statutes in light of recent legislation and good practice. S/he will provide secretariat support to all the key College Committees including Council and Governing Body. S/he will work closely with the Master, Vice-Master, Senior Tutor, and Bursar.

The College Registrar is a part-time (three days a week) and temporary position until July 2011. The pensionable stipend will be within points 48 to 56 on the University pay scale (currently £20,268 to £25,675 a year for three days per week).

The successful candidate is likely to have a legal qualification, administrative skills, and experience of a Cambridge or Oxford College, preferably as a member of governing bodies.
