The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 18 July 2008.
1. That, notwithstanding Regulation 1 (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 444) for the Nominating Committee for external members of the Council, Dame Bridget Ogilvie, High Steward, be appointed to chair the Nominating Committee, with immediate effect, until 30 September 2009.1
2. That the recommendations in paragraph 55 of the Report of the Council, dated 19 May 2008, on the financial position and budget of the University, recommending allocations from the Chest 2008-09 (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 792) be approved.2
