Graces submitted to the Regent House on 18 June 2008

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 27 June 2008.

1. That the regulations for University Composition Fees, as amended by Grace 3 of 12 March 2008, be further amended as follows:1

Courses leading to examinations for the M.Phil. Degree

With effect from 1 September 2009

By replacing the entry for Biological Anthropology with the following:

 Applied Biological Anthropology D+ D+ F
 Human Evolutionary Biology D+ D+ F

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 19 of the Fourth Report of the Council, dated 17 March 2008, on the development of the University's land in North West Cambridge (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 613), as amended by the Council's Notice of 16 June 2008, on p. 870, be approved.

3. That the recommendations in paragraph 8 of the Report of the General Board, dated 20 May 2008, on Senior Academic Promotions (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 820) be approved.2

4. That the recommendations in paragraph 7 of the Report of the General Board, dated 27 May 2008, on the establishment of an Alborada Professorship of Equine and Farm Animal Science (Reporter, 2007-08, p. 823) be approved.

1 Statutes and Ordinances, p. 161. The fees proposed reflect the rates agreed between Universities UK and the authorities of the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man for such students. The opportunity has been taken to correct the entry for Biological Anthropology to refer to the two new courses Applied Biological Anthropology and Human Evolutionary Biology (see the General Board's Notice, p. 52).
