Announcement of lectures, seminars, etc.

The following lecture and seminars will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The second Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture, entitled Deep questions of cosmology: did something happen before the Big Bang?, will be given by Professor Sir Roger Penrose at 3 p.m. on 27 June in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Avenue. All interested are welcome.

Cambridge Seminar on Religion, Conflict, and its Aftermath. This seminar series, sponsored by the Religion and Ethics in War and Peace-Making Programme of Faith in Society, is coordinated by Britt Baillie (email bab30@cam.ac.uk), Lucia Faltin (email lf225@cam.ac.uk), Dr Inga Volmer (email iv211@cam.ac.uk), and Dr George Wilkes (email grw1000@cam.ac.uk). Further information on these seminars may be obtained from them. The seminars form part of the broader programme of the interdisciplinary Post-Conflict and Post-Crisis Research Group.
