Senior Lectureship/Lectureship in Marketing at Judge Business School

Judge Business School is looking to recruit an exceptional scholar who can contribute to a growing School in the field of Marketing. Successful candidates will be able to provide clear evidence of intellectual excellence and the potential and ambition to establish a publication record in the leading journals in their field; they will have (or expect soon to receive) a Ph.D. Degree in a relevant subject. Experience of teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate or post-experience levels is desirable.

Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, the appointment will be made at Lectureship or Senior Lectureship level. The salary will be in the range of £46,759 to £49,606 for a Senior Lectureship and in the range of £34,793 to £44,074 for a Lectureship.

University Lectureship in Geotechnical Engineering in the Department of Engineering

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a University Lectureship in Geotechnical Engineering. Candidates should have a proven record of scholarship and research in the area of Geotechnical Engineering, and will be expected to contribute directly to the research and teaching of the Geotechnical and Environmental Group, which forms part of the Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering Division. The Group enjoys an international reputation for high-quality, innovative, and industry-relevant research. In addition, the post will involve contributing to the teaching of the undergraduate course in Civil Engineering, leading to the B.A. and M.Eng. Degrees.

The successful candidate will take up the appointment on 1 January 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment will be for a probationary period of five years and, subject to satisfactory performance, with appointment to the retiring age thereafter. The salary will be in the range of £34,793 to £44,074 a year.

Administrative Officers in the Academic Division (three posts)

Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Centre of International Studies

The Academic Division is seeking administrators for the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Centre of International Studies. In each case, as part of the senior management team, the post-holder will help shape and implement policies concerned with effective resource management and oversee the administrative support of the Faculty or the Centre.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have previous relevant experience in a senior administrative post, including proven ability in managing resources and staff, preferably gained in a higher education establishment. The salary for both posts will be in the range of £30,912 to £41,545 a year. Appointment will be to the retiring age subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period.
