The Trustees of the Isaac Newton Trust seek to appoint a Director from 1 October 2008 in succession to Professor J. M. Rallison. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for two further three-year periods. The Director has responsibility for running the Trust including, in particular, the administration of its research grants and of the Cambridge Bursary Scheme. The post is part-time, averaging about two days a week, and may be combined with another academic or academic-related post in the University or a College. Experience of the collegiate University and its research activities is essential. The initial salary will be around £30,000.
