Director of the Isaac Newton Trust: Notice

The Trustees of the Isaac Newton Trust seek to appoint a Director from 1 October 2008 in succession to Professor J. M. Rallison. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for two further three-year periods. The Director has responsibility for running the Trust including, in particular, the administration of its research grants and of the Cambridge Bursary Scheme. Information about the activities of the Trust may be found at http://www.newtontrust.cam.ac.uk/. The Trust offices are located in Trinity College. There are currently two full-time members of staff.

The post is part-time, averaging about two days a week, and may be combined with another academic or academic-related post in the University or a College. Experience of the collegiate University and its research activities is essential. The initial salary will be around £30,000.
