UNIVERSITY LECTURERSHIP IN MUSIC

Applications are invited for this post, tenable from 1 October 2008, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is a joint appointment: the person appointed to the University Lecturership (UL) will also be appointed to a Tutorial Fellowship at St Anne's College and a Lecturership at St Hilda's College. The combined University and Colleges salary will be on the scale £39,159 to £52,628 a year. Additional College allowances are available as set out in the further particulars.

The University and the Colleges are seeking candidates working in any field of musicology or composition. The person appointed will have the potential to enhance the high reputation of the Music Faculty in research and teaching. He or she will have a proven record of scholarship and research at a level of international recognition, or the clear promise of such achievement. He or she will be required to provide a high standard of teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including the supervision of research students, and will be expected to play an active role in Faculty and College administration.
