STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN POLITICS (POLITICAL THEORY)

The College seeks to appoint to the above post for one year with effect from 1 September 2008. The duties are the provision of up to six hours' tuition a week in Politics to undergraduates and Visiting Students. In addition, the Lecturer will be responsible for helping with the organization of Politics teaching in the College.

Politics is offered as part of the Honour Schools of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) and Modern History and Politics (MHP). Applications are welcome from candidates able to teach the Political Theory component of the PPE Prelims course, and the Theory of Politics core paper in the Honour Schools of PPE and MHP. The ability to teach Political Sociology and any Politics Further Subject would be an advantage.

The stipend will be on the scale £11,501 to £12,945 a year. Senior Common Room dining rights will be offered.
