Corpus Christi College

BURSAR

Corpus Christi, founded in 1352, is a leading academic institution in the University of Cambridge, with an excellent record of education, learning, and research. Situated in delightful city centre grounds, this friendly, forward-looking community is home to some 55 Fellows, 260 undergraduates, 150 graduates and 120 staff. The College now wishes to appoint a Bursar from 1 October 2008, or as soon as possible thereafter (and earlier if practicable). The Bursar is the senior financial and administrative officer of the College, responsible for the management of the College Endowment, including stock market investments and real property, the administration of the operational finances and the supervision of the College estate and staff. The Bursar is supported in these duties by the Treasurer and Heads of Departments and their staff, and also works extensively with professional advisers.

Applicants will need to demonstrate considerable experience of financial management at a senior level, as well as exemplary administrative and communication skills, and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and staff. The stipend will be at a Professorial rate, currently £62,534 a year, and the successful candidate will be elected to an Official Fellowship.

ASSISTANT COMPUTER OFFICER (FULL-TIME)

The College is seeking to appoint an Assistant Computer Officer, to assist the Computer and IT Manager in the support and maintenance of the Corpus Christi College computing facilities, network infrastructure, databases, email services, and management of servers, and in providing helpdesk support to users.

The ideal candidate will have a computer qualification, together with broad IT expertise, including a working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and AD administration, Linux, Web, and Network administration. Experience of helpdesk support and familiarity with commonly used software applications is also essential.
