Professorial Pay Review 2007: Notice

The Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with Annex 7 of the Second Joint Report of the Council and General Board on a new pay and grading structure for non-clinical staff (Reporter, 2004-05, p. 745), and with the assistance of an Advisory Committee comprising Professor Onora O'Neill, N, (Chairman), Professor Sir Tony Atkinson (Nuffield College, Oxford), Professor Nicholas Mann (School of Advanced Study, University of London), Professor Sir Keith O'Nions (Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills), Dame Bridget Ogilvie, ED, and Professor Nigel Weiss, CL, carried out an assessment of applications for a review of professorial pay received from eligible Professors. The Advisory Group were assisted by School-level Committees* which undertook the initial assessment of applications in Band 1. Progression within and between bands is not automatic and is based on contribution, as described in Annex 7 of the Joint Report, and assessed through a biennial review process. The Vice-Chancellor has informed all applicants of the outcome of this review.
