Regulation 14.

By designating the following paper as a half-paper:

Group B Paper 11 (Christian doctrine)

by adding the following new paper in Group C:

Paper 22. Topics in Christian doctrine

and by removing the current Paper 22 (The Bible and the Church's life) in Group D.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

With effect from 1 October 2008

Groups A, B, C, D

The supplementary regulation for each paper has been amended to specify the form of examination for all full papers as being cited in Regulation 15(a), and all half papers in Regulation 15(b).

Group A

Paper 7. Introduction to Christian theology

By amending the supplementary regulation so as to read:

This paper will be concerned with a study of the Christian doctrine of God, with special attention to the classic creeds, and some of the principal ways in which Trinitarian doctrine has been interpreted in Church and culture from New Testament times to the present. In this way, major issues concerning the content and methods of Christian theology will be introduced.

This paper will be examined by the mixed-mode of assessment specified in Regulation 15(a).

Group B

Paper 11. Christian doctrine.

By amending the final sentence of the supplementary regulation so as to read:

The paper will be examined by an examination of two hours' duration as specified in Regulation 15(b).

Group C

By adding a supplementary regulation for Paper 22 so as to read:

Paper 22. Topics in Christian doctrine

This paper will consist of up to three topics (22A, 22B, 22C) prescribed by the Faculty Board from time to time, of which candidates may offer no more than two in any one examination. Each topic will count as one half-paper. Each topic will examined by essay as specified in Regulation 15(b).

Group D

Paper 22. The Bible and the Church's Life

By deleting the supplementary regulation for this paper.

The Faculty Board of Divinity are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for the examination in 2009 will be adversely affected by these changes.
