The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has received the following nomination for election to the Council in class (b) (Professors and Readers) to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Professor Z. G. Baranski (see Reporter, 2007-08, p. 594):

Professor John Rason Spencer, SE, nominated by Mr P. K. Fox, SE, and Professor E. V. Ferran, CTH.
The election will be conducted by postal ballot. Voting papers will be distributed, together with the statements provided by candidates, on or before Monday, 12 May. The last date for the return of voting papers will be Friday, 23 May.
